Seribu Islands Plans to Set Up Cooperative for the Fishermen

Seribu Islands Regency Administration plans to set up a cooperative for the fishermen who follow the cultivation program of floating net cage (KJA) for Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Dept. 

We will encourage them (fishermen) who have been guided to set up cooperative thus all the processes and mechanisms do not violate the provisions

"We will encourage them (fishermen) who have been guided to set up cooperative thus all the processes and mechanisms do not violate the provisions," said Budi Utomo, Regent of Seribu Islands, Thursday (4/21).

Utomo explained cooperative is needed to maximize the Human Resource (SDM), especially 28 groups of sea fish cultivation that spread in some islands.

"We optimize the net cage by conducting mentoring to improve the quality and quantity of production," he disclosed.
